If it's later in the day on a weekend or Holiday. We got there relatively early (930 on a Saturday) on the last day of the Matisse exhibit and didn't buy our ticket in advance and went right in. One word of caution, hang on to your ticket. They will check it going onto each floor and in the special exhibits.

Hi Debby, I spent 1 day in Frankfurt and here are my recommendations: * Get a two-day Frankfurt card for 15.50 euros and it covers all public transportations, including the train ride from the airport :) Must-see: 1) Romer plaza 2) Staedel museum 3) the shore by the river (good sunset view) 4) the observation desk on top of the old church by Romer Food: Giant food market walking distance to Romer (check TripAdvisor). It has everything you need to sample, from German sausage to cheese to wine and all!
