A recall has been issued for cookies that may contain pieces of wood. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, 10-count boxes of Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar cookies sold at Target stores are being recalled in 20 states, including New York. Favorite Day is a private brand sold at Target.

The recall, voluntarily initiated July 22 by Give and Go Prepared Food Corps., applies to Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies sold in packs of 10 with Lot number 251915. According to the FDA, the reason for the recall was because the cookies could contain pieces of wood.
