The Trump administration has unveiled its latest strategy in its efforts to fulfill a campaign promise of massive deportation operations—sending military troops to Texas. The U.S. Department of Defense is deploying 700 military personnel to Texas and other states to assist in the U.

These troops will support U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by providing logistical, administrative, and clerical assistance at detention facilities.
