Drake’s legal battles over the success of Kendrick Lamar’s acclaimed “Not Like Us” continues as he settles one dispute. According to the Associated Press, the 38-year-old and iHeartMedia have reached a settlement regarding a legal petition filed in November where the Canadian musician claimed the company boosted the diss record on the radio by taking illegal payments from Universal Media Group (UMG).

According to Rolling Stone, Drake and iHeartMedia have reached a settlement in the musician’s payola lawsuit. Based on documents obtained by the outlet, both parties came to a mutual agreement which was then confirmed on paper in the Bexar County, Texas courts.

Drake has alleged UMG engaged in “irregular and inappropriate business practices” to get radio airplay for “Not Like Us.”

ICYMI, the Gimme a Hug rapper previously accused iHeartMedia of accepting illicit payments aka payola, from Universal Music Group (UMG) to promote the diss track on the radio.

Another chapter in Drake’s endless losing battle with Kendrick Lamar has come to a close. Despite the “NOKIA” rapper’s infamous love of lawsuits (as Lamar acknowledged live from the Super Bowl halftime stage last month), Drake is not suing iHeartMedia over the fact that people really love a song calling him a pedophile.

In a filing on Thursday (February 27) with the Bexar County District Court in San Antonio, Texas – where iHeartMedia is headquartered – lawyers for Drake said the rapper and the radio network had “reached an amicable resolution of the dispute to the satisfaction of both sides.
