DAMASCUS, Syria — The death toll from an attack on a church in Syria has gone up to 25, state media said Monday.

A suicide bombing at the Mar Elias Church in Damascus' Dweila neighborhood resulted in 25 casualties. This attack marks the first suicide bombing in Damascus following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad by an Islamist-led insurgency in December,
