It's been a few years since Kurt Benkert played for the Atlanta Falcons, but the former NFL quarterback-turned Twitch streamer has continued to follow the team closely since being released in 2021. Benkert hasn't been shy regarding his feelings toward second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

The Atlanta Falcons signed veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million deal last offseason, then stirred controversy by selecting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

The team held its first official scrimmage on Wednesday morning and Michael Penix Jr.'s arm has been on display. Penix connected on a few deep shots, one of which was to second-year wide receiver Casey Washington.
