President Donald Trump directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to look into Jeffrey Epstein's ties to Bill Clinton following the release of multiple emails this week in which Epstein repeatedly discussed

Bondi instructed the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, to oversee an investigation, vowing it would be handled “with urgency and integrity.”

Bondi said she has selected acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton to lead the investigation.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is getting torched from both sides of the aisle over what critics call a “shocking” cover-up of Donald Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Bondi faced fresh scrutiny about her role in the Epstein files fiasco after emails released by the House Oversight Committee Wednesday indicated that Trump knew more about the late sex offender’s conduct than he may have acknowledged.

A discharge petition regarding the release of the Epstein files gained its 218th signature on Wednesday, the threshold needed to force a U.S. House vote on the matter.
