Following a Game of the Year win at TGA 2025, Sandfall Interactive released a free patch for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that added additional content like a Photo Mode. It is available now on all platforms. There’s also a new trailer that highlights how that feature works and shows off a new area added in the update.
Expedition 33 has never been subtle about its influences. The turn-based RPG from developer Sandall Interactive, which took home Game of the Year and a number of other prizes at the 2025 Game Awards,
"Rejoin the Expedition on another journey through the whimsical hideout of a young Verso," Sandfall's official description reads. "In a land crafted through joy and innocence, sometimes darkness is uncovered when imagination gets carried away.
To access Photo Mode in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you need to go to your Pause Menu (not the Party Menu) and look for the 'Photo Mode' option second from the top of the drop-down list. Select it, and the game will enter its Photo Mode per the exact location where your party currently is.
