National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologists have issued winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories for 13 states as of Thursday morning as winter storms unleash impacts across the Northern Plains, Midwest, and Northeast.

A strong geomagnetic storm is forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center.

Widespread snowfall totals of 1 to 5 inches are expected across New Jersey with more than 5 inches possible in some counties.
