Victor Wembanyama opens up about blood clot scare, emotional breakdown, and health-first approach after season-ending diagnosis.
Victor Wembanyama continues to move comfortably between respect and confidence, and his latest comments underscored that balance. Asked by ESPN to weigh in on the NBA’s best, the San Antonio Spurs star laid out his view of the league’s hierarchy before turning the spotlight inward,
Davis has averaged 19.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 10 games played this season. Wembanyama, who has also missed time, is putting up even better numbers at 26.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.
Recently, ESPN proposed a trade idea that would see Wembanyama teamed up with Dallas Mavericks power forward Anthony Davis. In the deal, the Spurs would get Davis, the Mavericks would get Harrison Barnes, Luke Kornet, Keldon Johnson, and multiple second-round picks, and the Chicago Bulls would get Naji Marshall.
After handing the defending champs only their second loss of the year, Victor Wembanyama fired verbal shots at the Thunder.
