ESPN and WWE reached a five-year, $1.6 billion agreement that includes exclusive rights to air the wrestling company’s premier live events (PLE) beginning in 2026, according to the Wall Street Journal, as part of the Worldwide Leader’s new direct-to-consumers streaming service launching later this month.

Set to launch Aug. 21, the ESPN app will offer “the full suite” of ESPN networks and services to fans ahead of the NFL season. Subscribers will be able to tune into the US Open, the PLL playoffs, the NBA season and more, all on ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service.
