CALGARY, Alberta — Joel Farabee scored twice and had an assist to lead the Calgary Flames to a 5-4 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. Morgan Frost had a goal and two assists for the Flames, who snapped a four-game winless skid.
The No. 2 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, Nemec played 155 games for the Devils, plus four more in the playoffs. He was drafted by previous general manager Tom Fitzgerald, who was fired in April. Trading Nemec is one of the first major moves made by Fitzgerald’s successor, Sunny Mehta.
Following a disappointing season, the New Jersey Devils are trading one of their defensemen to the Calgary Flames.
