Police in Concord, North Carolina, say four people were injured when gunfire erupted in a crowd during an annual tree lighting ceremony Friday evening.

A suspect is facing charges, including murder, in connection with the killing of a 17-year-old Monroe High School student in north Charlotte earlier this year.  Tracoby Meeks, 25, is charged with murder and felony conspiracy for his alleged role in the death of Nevaeh Carter on May 31.
