CLEVELAND, Ohio — Gavin Williams struck out a season high seven batters and pitched into the fifth inning Monday, but got knocked around a bit by a young Cubs lineup as Chicago handed the Guardians a 5-1 loss in Cactus League action at Goodyear Ballpark.
Ahead of triple-digits hitting Arizona next week, the Cubs’ split-squad game on March 20, at Sloan Park has been changed to a 6:05 p.m. local start. Their other split-squad game that day against the Athletics at Hohokam Stadium has been moved to a 6:10 p.m. local start.
