For the first year since records began, there were no paramilitary-style shootings recorded in Belfast last year. The last recorded paramilitary-style shooting in the city occurred in September 2023.

The year included one death described as security related, believed to be the fatal shooting of Kevin Conway in Belfast in January. That murder has been linked with an organised crime gang.
