Duke's defense had no answer for the Tar Heels on their first possession, as UNC went 75 yards on 13 plays, taking 7:03 off the clock before a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Gio Lopez. The Tar Heels were 4-for-4 on 3rd-down attempts on the drive.
