NASCAR star Greg Biffle and his family were killed Thursday when his plane crashed and exploded into flames at the Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina, according to Motorsports.com.

Biffle, who grew up in Clark County and dominated Northwest racing circuits before becoming a NASCAR star, owned a plane that crashed at a North Carolina regional airport.
