On the heels of Winter Storm Fern, a strong storm will form off the East Coast this weekend that will bring snow, wind and coastal flooding. Blizzard conditions are even possible in a few areas.
Snow showers move in throughout the day on Saturday along with gusty wind, tidal flooding and sub-zero wind chills.
A significant winter event is expected to begin after midnight Friday night. Snow showers are likely to develop by sunrise on Saturday, with the heaviest accumulations (3 to 5 inches or more) forecast for areas east and northeast of Atlanta, including Gwinnett, Hall, and Walton counties.
Parts of southern New Jersey, particularly closest to the Jersey Shore, could get a dusting to 2 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday.
