Former St. Louis Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley reportedly has 15 teams courting him in free agency, according to a new report from Katie Woo of The Athletic.

Even though the Arizona Cardinals have only played one game on Thanksgiving, the franchise has an extensive history of playing on the holiday.

According to a new report from Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis Cardinals are bringing back catcher Yohel Pozo just days after non-tendering him. Terms of the deal are not known at this time and his role likely won't become clear until closer to Opening Day as the Cardinals work to shuffle their roster this offseason.

Baseball insider Jon Morosi reported that there are multiple teams interested in talking to Bloom and the Cardinals about Donovan. Those teams include the two-time World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Mets and quite possibly the Philadelphia Phillies if they can't hold on to slugger Kyle Schwarber.

In recent seasons, Seth Lugo, Michael King and Clay Holmes have been among the relievers who have successfully converted to starting. Helsley, 31, hasn’t started since 2019, when he was at Triple A with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Athletics are in the market for a second baseman, a third baseman, help in the starting rotation, and perhaps a left-handed relief pitcher if they have time. The St. Louis Cardinals have a slew of targets for the A's to consider, like Brendan Donovan at second, or Sonny Gray in the rotation on the trade market.
