John Beam, a football coach featured on Netflix's "Last Chance U" and the Laney College athletic director, has died, one day after being shot on the Oakland, California, campus.

Thursday's incident came a day after a student was shot at Oakland's Skyline High School. The student is in stable condition. Police say they arrested two juveniles and recovered two firearms. Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee said she was “heartbroken” by “the second shooting on an Oakland campus in one week.”
