Sunita Williams has set a new record for the longest spacewalking time by a woman, clocking 62 hours and 6 minutes at the ISS during a mission with fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore. They performed crucial tasks and collected samples.

During a five-and-a-half hour spacewalk with her colleague Butch Wilmore, Sunita Williams surpassed former astronaut Peggy Whitson’s total spacewalking time of 60 hours and 21 minutes.

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were able to remove a stuck radio communications unit on a record-setting spacewalk on Thursday (Jan. 30).
