Bruce Pearl expects his team to be challenged at Texas

Although Texas is not ranked heading into the game, head coach Bruce Pearl believes that Tuesday’s game at Moody Center in Austin could provide Auburn with more of a challenge than the one it faced at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Bruce Pearl became the winningest coach in Auburn men’s basketball history Tuesday. The Tigers took down the Texas Longhorns 87-82, securing Pearl’s 214th win as Auburn’s coach and making him the program’s all-time wins leader.
Auburn was led to victory by Johni Broome and Miles Kelly. Broome had 20 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Kelly had 18 points and shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Three other Tigers put up double-figures: Baker-Mazara had 16 points and Denver Jones and Tahaad Pettiford each added 10.
