The Eagles will be without running back Kenneth Gainwell due to a concussion for the fourth quarter against the Commanders.
But now comes a bit more depth, at least for practice, in the form of a Thursday, signing of second-year man Lew Nicholls III. Nicholls, who will join the practice squad now, had been with the Eagles in training camp. He was signed back to the practice squad in December before the yo-yo existence continued as he was waived on Dec. 31.
