Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond ran an officially timed 4.39 seconds in the 40 on Saturday, just shy of what he predicted Friday, when he told reporters here that he would break Xavier Worthy's combine record of 4.

Worthy broke a seven-year-old record last year, when he posted a 40 time of 4.21, surpassing John Ross III's record of 4.22 set in 2017. That performance vaulted Worthy into a higher tier of receivers in the draft, which led to him being taken 28th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs.
