Sean Payton and the Broncos have an option as an offensive “Joker.” That’s tight end Evan Engram, who on Wednesday agreed to a two-year deal with Denver. Engram’s agency, Vayner Sports, confirmed the deal.

The Broncos previously tendered five exclusive rights free agents: cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian, outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, tight end Lucas Krull, defensive lineman Jordan Jackson and safety Devon Key. The contracts are league-minimum, one-year deals, and EFRAs are not eligible to negotiate with other teams.
