By Jana Winter and Andrew Goudsward WASHINGTON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - The FBI searched an election office in Georgia's Fulton County outside Atlanta on Wednesday, pursuing U.S. President Donald Trump's false claims that his 2020 election defeat was the result of widespread voting fraud.
The FBI raid is related to Fulton County's vote counting role in the 2020 election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. At least 700 boxes of ballots and other related materials were seized.
According to Dolezal, 70 individuals were registered at a single UPS store in Fulton County. Another 96 voters were registered at a second UPS store. He also said 19 voters were registered at an abandoned home.
Fulton County confirmed the FBI executed a search warrant at its Elections Hub and Operations Center that sought "records related to 2020 elections."
