Supporters of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol stormed a Seoul court Sunday after a judge extended the impeached leader's detention over his ill-fated attempt to impose martial law.

Supporters of impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol pushed past lines of police to enter the court, some destroying furniture and blasting fire extinguishers at officers trying to suppress them.

Yoon, who was impeached and suspended from office in December, is the first sitting South Korean president to be arrested.
