U.S. Agency for International Development workers who've been given 15 minutes to clear out their workspaces as part of the Trump administration’s dismantling of the agency have begun arriving at their Washington headquarters.

Foreign aid workers at USAID were given just 15 minutes to clear out their desks today. The layoffs were part of President Trump’s efforts to cut spending by downsizing the federal bureaucracy. NBC News’ Garrett Haake reports.

Some staffers wept as they carried out grocery bags and suitcases with what was left from their life's work. Supporters clapped and cheered outside.
