A majority of Members of Parliament voted this week to decriminalize abortion in England and Wales at any stage of pregnancy for any reason, shielding women who receive late-term abortions from prosecution while still holding the doctors who perform them liable.

In Britain, Parliament has voted to decriminalise abortion, a move that has “deeply alarmed” the Catholic bishops.
