Caitlin Clark was the big story going in to the Valkyries game Thursday night, but was upstaged by a dogged Golden State team and its enthusiastic fan base.

The Golden State Valkyries believe they know how to defend Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. The expansion franchise was able to limit Clark to just 11 points in an 88-77 win for Golden State. Clark shot only 3-of-14 from the floor and a dismal 0-of-7 from three-point range.

It's no secret that the Golden State Valkyries have the Bay Area absolutely hyped for pro women's basketball this season, but it's hard to imagine anyone more excited for the home team than Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski.
