Longtime ‘Simpsons’ character dead for good after 34 years, producer confirms

A longtime character from “The Simpsons” has officially been killed off the show after appearing on episodes for 34 years. Springfield’s First Church organist Alice Glick died in the midst of a sermon during episode seven in the 37th season, called “Sashes to Sashes” which aired on Nov. 16.
