The U.S. Justice Department said on Friday it will fulfill President Donald Trump's request to investigate Jeffrey Epstein's ties to former Democratic President Bill Clinton and JPMorgan , as Trump sought to shift the focus from his relationship with the convicted sex offender.

Trump himself is mentioned throughout the thousands of pages of Epstein emails, but his call for investigations — which AG Pam Bondi quickly answered — named only Democrats.

"This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats," the president claims
