According to an alert by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Texas brand has recalled over a million coolers after discovering the flaw. The recalled coolers have a tow handle that can pinch the user's fingertips against the cooler, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards.

Recalled rolling coolers were sold for a six-year period by retailers nationwide including Amazon, Costco and Target.

More than 1 million units of 90-quart Flip & Tow rolling coolers were recalled after Igloo received a dozen reports of injuries caused by the tow handle.

Igloo is recalling more than 1 million of its coolers sold across the U.S., Mexico and Canada due to a handle hazard that has resulted in a handful of fingertip injuries, including some amputations.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall notice on Thursday for more than 1 million Igloo coolers made in the United States due to the potential of fingertip amputation or crushing.
