A Texas trooper was injured while attempting to arrest a driver in Ellis County on Friday for committing a traffic violation, according to a news release by the Texas Department of Public Safety. At around 3 p.

The trooper originally tried to perform a traffic stop after witnessing a red GMC pickup truck commit a traffic violation.

The driver, identified as Jose Molina, 28, of Fort Worth, was charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Ellis County Jail, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
