A campaign group to break Israel's siege on the Gaza Strip vowed Monday to continue efforts to deliver urgently needed humanitarian aid to the enclave, shortly after Tel Aviv intercepted an aid ship bound for the territory.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that all activists aboard were “safe” and would be deported to their respective countries.

The ministry later announced that the flotilla was making its way to Israeli shores, and announced that all passengers are expected to return to their home countries.
