Police in Oakland announced Friday morning that an arrest has been made in connection with a shooting on the Laney College campus that injured athletic director John Beam.

A senior member of the athletics staff at a community college in Oakland was shot on campus Thursday, the second time in two days the city has had a shooting at a local school.

Sources at the San Francisco Chronicle identified the person shot at legendary football coach John Beam.
