Memphis gets dominated by No.11 Louisville, 99-73
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Memphis Tigers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end Saturday afternoon, dropping a 99-73 decision at No. 11 Louisville inside the KFC Yum! Center. Memphis (4-5) competed early before Louisville found its rhythm from long range in the opening half.
The momentum built from the Memphis basketball team’s three-game winning streak came to a screeching halt Dec. 13 at Louisville.
The Cardinals go 3-0 against their primary rivals in a single season for the first time in 13 years.
Ryan Conwell had 17 points and reserve Adrian Wooley scored 15 as he and Kasean Pryor alternated making six of Louisville’s seven consecutive 3-pointers during a first-half surge that rocketed the No.
“The teams will look to play each other in a neutral site game on a later date,” Georgia said.
The Cardinals and Tigers finally renew their rivalry.
How’s this for a resumption of the rivalry? No. 11 Louisville beat Memphis 99-73, the second-largest margin in the 91-game history of the series.
