Down by 14 points in the third quarter of Game 4, the Knicks came roaring back for another improbable, instant-classic victory over the defending champion Boston Celtics.
It was only fitting that Game 2 against the Celtics ended this way for the Knicks, with Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby suffocating Jayson Tatum on the baseline.
Jayson Tatum scored 11 points in the first six minutes of the fourth, including a 3-pointer that gave Boston a 99-98 lead with 7:17 to go. But Bridges hit another jumper the next time down the court, and the Knicks never trailed again. Bridges added another basket with 3:22 left in the game, putting the Knicks up by seven points.
After finding themselves down 0-2, the Boston Celtics now have the chance to tie the series, after an impressive 115-93 win over the New York Knicks in Game 3.
