New York Jets player Kris Boyd was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot on Sunday morning on a New York City street.

Kris Boyd, a cornerback for American football team the New York Jets, was shot in the abdomen early Sunday, according to US media.

The spokesperson added that officers found a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and he was transported to the nearby Bellevue Hospital in “critical condition.”
