Sgt. Quornelius Radford, 28, is accused of opening fire at Fort Stewart, injuring five of his military co-workers.

The sprawling Army installation, about 40 miles southwest of Savannah, was placed on lockdown just after 11 a.m.

All five victims are in a stable condition and expected to recover, but three of them underwent surgery on Wednesday.
