For over 170 years, New Orleans City Park has provided access to abundant natural and cultural resources, connecting Southeast Louisiana residents and visitors to the region’s most-iconic park – with something for everyone.

The Historic New Orleans Train Garden is one of the Park’s hidden gems, featuring typical New Orleans home and building architecture made with botanical materials, and replicas of streetcars and trains that wind around the track.

From boating to birding, a highlight of City Park City Park’s Big Lake has been one of the Park’s most-popular recreational attractions. The lake is surrounded by 25 acres filled with art installations, wildlife and wetlands, paths for walking, jogging, biking, and much more!

Jan 9, 2025 · This year, New Orleanians will come together on Monday, January 20 to help care for the Park’s 1,300 acres by lending a hand to beautify the community’s greenspace and transform common areas, trails, and facilities.

City Park Bridges Tour. From wooden beams to concrete arches–take a p ebbled look at the Park’s past. The City Park Bridges Tour can be taken virtually or in-person. The bridges featured are divided into two categories: road and pedestrian bridges.
