The Ultimate moment with a Leopard 🙌😮🎥📸 Nothing quite like watching a leopard jump 8 feet to get into a tree, they are truly remarkable animals with so much variety in skills, it is no wonder why they are seen as one of the most adaptable cats in the world. It is moments like this where you really just want to take it all in, because it doesn’t come around very often. #wildlifesafari #safari #africansafari #africanwildlife #safariexperience #wildlifeofafrica #leopard #canonrsa #morefamilycol

A key sign of a Leopard on the hunt - when ever a leopard goes into stalk mode there is a key element to look out for apart from the characteristic stalking motion….the tip of the tail almost moves independently while stalking. This is a clear indication of intent and something to always look out for. As a wildlife photographer this can also help you identify key moments of movement to capture evocative images of a leopard on the hunt so keep an eye out. Join me on a Photographic Safari and kets

There is something quite primitive about viewing a leopard at night, you get the feeling that you are truly in their realm, but this makes it so much more special. An exhilarating and adrenaline filled safari experience #WildlifeSafari #wildlife #wildlifeofafrica #safari #safariadventure #SafariExperience #leopard #MOREFamilyCollection #lionsandsgamereserve #canonrsa | Francois Fourie

Close up aggression of an angry Leopardess - This Leopard had no love lost towards a lurking Hyena below. I do enjoy sometimes going back ons some moments re look at them and go in a bit tighter and every time I am so happy I did it. #leopard #africansafari #wildlifesafari #wildlifeshots #africanwildlife #SafariExperience #wildestafrica #krugernationalpark #lionsandsgamereserve | Francois Fourie

You’re thinking about the moment. When a leopard stands and looks at you like this, the bush goes quiet. Not because something is about to happen but because everything already is. This is what our guests experience. No crowds. No rush. Just time, space, and understanding the moment. Join us on Safari in wild Africa. 2026 safaris now open. #safariexperience #francoisfouriesafaris #africansafari #safariafrica #privatesafari | Francois Fourie

Ever wondered what it’s like watching a Leopard at night??? Its a strange feeling but one filled with adrenaline and excitement- like with any predator as soon as night sets in the tables turn and you get that feeling…. But boy its n amazing moment when the trackers spotlight catches a glimpse of reflecting eyes and the word “Leopards” comes from the front of the game viewer. That is a feeling and moment that never gets old. #wildlifesafari #africansafari #safari #africanwildlife #safariexperien

Up close and personal with a Male Leopard. Donga male is a unique character and a quite a while back we stumbled upon him as we turned a corner in our Safari vehicle on our way to a complete different sighting of Lions. By chance he was nestled on the side of the road in between some lush green summer grass. For a moment we were so close we almost couldn’t even get him in focus, now just imagine that was you. But in the end I managed to capture about 10 seconds of serious close up footage of qui

Unreal moment of with a Leopard - if you have ever spent time trying to track and find a leopard you will know that when you succeed that feeling is out of this world. Now as much as I love that feeling I always try to put myself in a guest shoes…what must they be feeling what emotions are they experiencing. Those moments showing guests their first leopard and getting them to take a photo back home is an incredibly rewarding moment and feeling. In a way thats what I try to show all of you on thi

You wont believe that we saw this from our Lodge. A leopard brings down a young impala in front of the lodge, as the he started dragging its prey elephants emerge from behind the shrub. Naturally upset especially with them having some calves in the herd. The leopard managed to avoid and moved into the thickets. Africa and Safari has this uncanny way of bringing some incredible moments and memories to you. Memories we don’t take for granted but appreciate, memories and moments we did not even thi

This type of behaviour is a tell tale sign of a leopard showing true intent. This could be because she was hunting or something has triggered her intention to be very aware, but this is a sign to always look out for as it can certainly lead to an amazing moment on Safari. #WildlifeSafari #africanwildlife #wildestafrica #africansafari #SafariExperience #safari #MOREFamilyCollection #MonwanaGameLodge | Francois Fourie

Amazing close encounter with a Leopard - The Saseka female has become a synonymous name when on Safari @monwanaafrica and she certainly did not disappoint us last week with multiple incredible memorable moments. Leopard sightings at Monwana and within the Thornybush Nature Reserve is some of the best I have had, the beauty of this Safari experience is how relaxed the leopards have become with the presence of Safari vehicles which allows for incredible experiences like this. Now this does not mea

One of the most Iconic sounds on Safari. The rasping roar of a Leopard is one of those sounds that send shivers down your spine but in a good way. The excitement that builds knowing a leopard is near by and then the moment of discovery in the road as he marks his territory. Just thinking about makes want to get out into the field. Join me on Safari and let’s capture moments like this together on Safari. DM me for more information. #photosafari #photographicsafari #wildlifesafari #africansafari #

Did you know that Leopards roar - for most people when we talk about a roar we immediately divert to a Lion, but in actual fact there are a few of the big cats that have this specific ability and a leopard is one of them, Leopards roar has a characteristic saw like sound. How they do it you ask - the epihyal bone in the voice box is replaced by a ligament that has the ability to stretch and expand creating a wider range of pitch. This in a nut shell gives the 4 species of big cats the ability to

This is what separate leopards from other apex predators… The ability to effortlessly scale a tree, hoist a carcass to cache safely away from other predators like lion and Hyena. Now leopards aren’t the only cats that can climb trees, lions as an example is actually very capable but in comparisons leopards are the true kings and queens of the trees as far as cats go. Seeing this on safari is so so special but it takes patience, timing and reading the situation just right to experience it - and a

What goes up must come down. Leopards they never ceases to amaze us the ability and agility to scale trees in a single leap is still something that until this day blows my mind. We all yearn to see this happen on safari, although this is not super common to see you really just need to be at the right place and at the right time and if you are so lucky man oh man its special. #wildlifesafari #africansafari #africanwildlife #safari #safariexperience #wildlifeofafrica #leopard #wildanimals #wildlif

Perfect timing for the perfect moment. As we approached the sighting we immediately saw that he was already in position to leap into the tree. We decided to stop keep our distance and let him do what he needed to do and it could not have worked out any better. #leopard #privatesafari #photosafari #francoisfouriesafaris #Monwanalodge | Francois Fourie

Moments on Safari - memories like this is what we live for. The Lepako Male descended this Sheppards tree to feed on his impala he brought down earlier that day - we just missed the action earlier in the day but return to find him in the same spot - he unfortunately lost his kill to Hyenas later that evening. Nice to sit and watch at times and just take it in. Join me on Safari at Mashatu - send me a DM for more information or visit our website. #wildlifesafari #wildlifephotographer #africansafa

Take a moment and watch this😲 --------------------------------------------------- An incredible scene unfolded right in front of us as this massive Male leopard known as the Hanyile Male walked straight past us and to top it all off the sunset in the background. @lionsandsgamereserve The Sabi Sand is renowned for leopard viewing, with Sabi River flowing in front of river lodge along the whole concession it makes for great opportunity to see thisnincredible big cat. LOCKED ON - EYES DID NOT MOVE. What an unbelievable experience to sit this close to a leopard on Safari - Its a strange concept and difficult to explain and understand at times but how amazing is this - we are able to sit and watch this amazing animal on Safari. One of the most amazing things about tourism and Safaris is that every single guest regardless of where you go contribute directly to the protection of all these animals and the preservation of their natural areas. We did not expect to see that happen😂😂😂. Now every now and again when you are on Safari mother nature sometimes throw some comical relief into the mix… We were following this female leopard as she went through her process of marking territory- I saw this fallen over tree branch and it seemed like this could be a good place to stop and wait for her. We went ahead stopped and waited for a few minutes with the hope that the plan will pay off - little did we know how well it would. Memories out i

Take in all the detail - These little moments on Safari - when you sit with a Leopard and you can truly take it all in makes Safari so so special and @mashatu_game_reserve certainly provided us with those moments. This young male Leopard known as Lepako hoisted an impala into this shepherds tree and was very conscious of its surroundings - with the amount of leopards, Lions and Hyena that roam this amazing reserve you can never let your guard down but that also makes it a haven for wildlife phot

It could have been one of the best moments of 2024- It doesn’t always go your way, and sometimes I feel it’s worth showing. Capturing wildlife moments on Camera is not easy. In this moment I was focusing on the middle part of the tree trunk with the hope that the Saseka female will jump into the tree to avoid the Hyenas. However it didn’t go my way. An intense brief altercation happened between leopard and hyena at the base of the tree, which you can only see very briefly and only sections of it
