Conservation care package: Beaver edition. Once upon a time, conservationists airdropped beavers into remote sections of Idaho to improve degraded stream habitat. This past spring, biologists didn’t do it the old-fashioned way; instead, they carried the approximately 50-pound beavers in crates on their backs to a suitable stream in need of their waterway engineering skills. In a remote area along the Idaho-Nevada border called the Bruneau Desert, state and federal biologists have been teaming up
