HAMERKOP UPDATE: our hamerkop chick is now more than 30 days old. The little one has grown so much and is about the size of an adult hamerkop -- just without all the feathers. The chick now enjoys a temporary outdoor space inside River Valley Aviary in order to soak up some sun, get fresh air and spend time watching and interacting with other birds.
