Grab your hiking shoes and hit the trail near Tokyo at Mount Takao. This recreation area offers beautiful views of the city and nature. Climb up the 3.8-kilometer-long Omotesando Trail to the peak where you’ll find the Takao Visitor Center and some booths selling snacks and beverages. On the way, you can also stop at Monkey Park or Yakuo-in Temple.
