Raphael Soriano, FAIA, Architect El Paradiso, 1964 (Also known as The Grossman House) Renovation by Linda Brettler, AIA, Architect Perched on a narrow hillside above Studio City, El Paradiso—the only remaining all-aluminum home by Raphael Soriano—has been revitalized by architect Linda Brettler, AIA. Using Soriano’s original drawings, she reworked the 1964 residence into a home and studio that honor its mid-century ethos while undoing decades of ill-fitting changes. The open plan remains a defin
