The sound of a bald cypress creaking 🍁 While wandering through Isère, I came across one of the most beautiful ponds I’ve ever seen. In its center, trees emerged from the water: bald cypresses. The creaking is caused by the movement of the tree under the effect of the wind. I recorded it using both a hydrophone and a contact microphone, the contact mic attached to the trunk and the hydrophone submerged beneath the surface. #reels #science | Chasseur de sons
