Earlier this year, our founder Katy travelled to South Sumba and spent time with the women of Kampung Tarung, learning from those who continue the living Marapu tradition and witnessing the slow, careful process of dyeing and weaving carried through generations. The bracelets we’ll be sharing with you in your Roots 2026 goodies bags are made by these same women using traditional techniques.
