Ali al-Nimr was 17 when he was arrested in Saudi Arabia. His ‘crimes’ include teaching first aid and the authorities tortured him until he signed a ‘confession’. That ‘confession’ was used used to sentence him to death. Thanks to you, we put the international spotlight on Saudi Arabia’s leaders. In April 2020, they announced an end to death sentences for child defendants like Ali. Now we’re fighting to hold them to their promise. His birthday is on December 20 - it will be his 6th on death row.
