Holy nunulu – that’s a lot of seabirds! Early last month the approximately 2-million-strong population of nunulu, bonin petrels, returned to Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge in the central Pacific Ocean. And just look at that sunset scene. Yes, all the birds in the sky are nunulu, returning to the atoll to find their mate and begin nesting.
